Janette is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. Janette also completed an Honors Bachelor of Social Work program at Lakehead University and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Child, Youth and Family Studies from the University of Guelph.
Janette has over nine years of experience working with children, youth, and adults in both individual and group settings. She has had the opportunity to provide support to community members facing complex barriers, such as compromised mental or physical wellness, substance use concerns, trauma, conflict, family relationship breakdowns, as well as learning and developmental exceptionalities.
Janette utilizes various evidence-based therapeutic techniques and a holistic lens to help those she works with identify their strengths, uncover coping strategies, and overcome challenges. Her individualized, collaborative, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach helps promote lasting change.
