Our clinical consultant is Kate McLeod, MA, RSW. She is the owner and operator of Care Counselling and she has over 15 years of experience in children’s mental health. She specializes in attachment and treats her clients using her training in cognitive behaviour therapy and Circle of Security, both of which she is certified in.
Kate has treated clients who struggle with ADHD, ASD, OCD, Anxiety, Perfectionism, Depression, and many other mental health challenges. She specializes in supporting both the child and the parents and works to create harmony in the home and in other environments such as the schools and work environments.
Working in private practice, especially as a child and youth therapist, comes with a host of complexities from a business perspective. Acting as a health information custody (HIC), with a wide variety of family dynamics, is not straightforward and requires a great deal of knowledge relating to both legislation and best business practices.
