Bio

Brooke has over a decade of experience working with youth and adults dealing with mental health struggles and the challenges of everyday life.

Brooke completed her undergraduate degree in sociology at the University of Waterloo before going on to complete her Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a Registered Social Worker and has worked in a variety of different settings throughout her career including in youth custody, residential treatment, community mental health and in one-on-one counselling settings. Given her unique work experiences, Brooke especially loves supporting first responders and their families deal with the mental health challenges faced on a day-to-day basis.

Brooke uses techniques from a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of every individual and in addition to her degrees has received specialized training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She always supports individuals through a compassionate, non-judgmental lens, where they are provided with supportive listening, validation, and somebody to bear witness for them in their experiences. In your work with Brooke, you will work together as a team to identify barriers, build on strengths, and gain insight and attunement for a holistic approach.
